American Airlines is to offer four flights per week from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (D/FW) to Panama City, Panama, from December 13. The carrier will also provide a Saturday flight from D/FW to Providenciales.
Both destinations are to be served with 148-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft, confirmed Joe Lopano, Executive Vice-President for Marketing and Terminal Management at D/FW.
Lopano added: "Panama City is both an important business destination and a growing leisure destination, and Providenciales is an outstanding Caribbean destination.
"American's announcement reflects the growing market from D/FW to Latin America and the Caribbean, and it shows D/FW's ongoing commitment to bring North Texas passengers a wide range of choices for travel."
American Airlines now serves 38 international destinations.
Lopano concluded: "We appreciate the commitment from American Airlines to increase its flight options here at DFW. And we hope for further growth to Latin America and the Caribbean in the future."
D/FW is the third busiest airport in the world, serving nearly 60 million passengers per year.
